Learn about our CAD viewer’s features.

Orbit

The Orbit tool allows you to rotate the 3D model around its center point. Click and drag on the model to orbit around it, providing different viewing angles. This is essential for examining all sides of the CAD model and understanding its complete structure.

Pan

The Pan tool allows you to move the view around the 3D model without changing the viewing angle. Click and drag on empty space to pan the view, which is useful for repositioning the model within the viewing area while maintaining the same perspective.

This tool is particularly helpful when you want to focus on specific parts of the model or when the model extends beyond the visible area of the viewer.

Zoom

The Zoom tool allows you to magnify or reduce the view of the 3D model. Use the mouse wheel or pinch gestures to zoom in for detailed examination of specific components or zoom out for an overview of the entire model. This feature is essential for detailed inspection and understanding of complex CAD models.

First Person

The First Person mode provides a walkthrough experience where you can navigate through the 3D model as if you were inside it. This immersive view allows you to explore the model from a first-person perspective, making it easier to understand the spatial relationships and internal structure of complex assemblies.

Camera Interaction

The Camera Interaction tool provides advanced camera controls for precise positioning and movement around the 3D model. This includes features like camera positioning, angle adjustments, and smooth transitions between different viewing positions, allowing for professional-quality model presentations and detailed analysis.

Measure

The Measure tool allows you to take precise measurements of distances, angles, and dimensions within the 3D model. This feature is essential for engineering analysis, quality control, and understanding the exact specifications of components and assemblies.

Section Analysis

The Section Analysis tool allows you to create cross-sectional views of the 3D model to examine internal structures and hidden components. This feature is crucial for understanding the internal workings of complex assemblies and for detailed engineering analysis.

Explode Model

The Explode Model tool separates the components of an assembly to show how individual parts fit together. This feature is invaluable for understanding assembly sequences, identifying individual components, and learning about the relationships between different parts of a complex model.

Hide/Show Annotations

The Hide/Show Annotations tool allows you to toggle the visibility of labels, callouts, and other annotations on the 3D model. This feature helps you focus on specific details or get a cleaner view of the model without distracting text overlays.

Model Browser

The Model Browser provides a hierarchical view of all components and assemblies within the 3D model. This tool allows you to navigate through the model structure, select specific parts, and understand the organization of complex assemblies.

Properties

The Properties panel displays detailed information about selected components, including material properties, dimensions, tolerances, and other engineering specifications. This tool is essential for understanding the technical details and specifications of individual parts within the 3D model.

Setting

The Setting tool allows you to customize various viewing parameters, including lighting, rendering quality, background settings, and display preferences. This feature helps you optimize the viewing experience according to your specific needs and hardware capabilities.

Full Screen

The Full Screen mode maximizes the viewing area by hiding all interface elements except the 3D model. This provides an immersive experience for presentations, detailed analysis, and when you need to focus entirely on the model without distractions.

Markup

The Markup tool allows you to add annotations, notes, and drawings directly onto the 3D model. This feature is useful for collaboration, design reviews, and documenting specific areas or issues within the model for team communication.

Rotation

The Rotation tool provides precise control over the model's orientation around specific axes. This feature allows for controlled rotation along X, Y, or Z axes, which is essential for engineering analysis and understanding the model from specific viewing angles.

Transform

The Transform tool allows you to modify the position, scale, and orientation of individual components within the 3D model. This feature is useful for design modifications, assembly adjustments, and understanding how changes affect the overall model.

Load Model

The Load Model allows you to import and view different 3D CAD models available in equicad browser. This feature supports multiple model and enables you to switch between different models for comparison or analysis purposes.

Save Model

The Save Model function allows you to save the state of multiple CAD model with viewing states you've applied. This feature helps you to load it the state again using the load model.

Open Pdf

The Open Pdf function allows you to view and interact with PDF documents that contain technical drawings, specifications, or documentation related to the 3D model. This feature enables you to reference supporting documentation while examining the CAD model.

Play Video

The Play Video function allows you to view instructional videos, demonstrations, or animations related to the 3D model. This feature provides additional learning resources and helps users understand complex assemblies, manufacturing processes, or operational procedures.
